Mat and I in at Barley’s Tap Room in Asheville, NC. I dropped off some film and will be there to pick it up in a week and a half! (and to drop off more) We REALLLY needed to get out of town! This winter has not been easy ( i don’t think for anyone), we went to a great jazz bar on Friday, Saturday did a lot of walking and a little shopping…… Mat and I were getting ready to walk into this store when he plowed me over, saying ” I know this mother fucker” and walk up to this guy walking towards us…. Al is his name… Al and Mat ran around over 12 years ago in Indiana! and have not seen each other for about that length of time…. He lives there in Asheville, and  Mat has lived in Boone for 5 years, what are the odds right? he had to be there at that EXACT second to see him walking up the street. Well - the odds? - For Mat is really pretty common- It happens to him ALL the time! I count 4 different times that I know of! ….. anyway…. we hit about 5 bookstores…. and 2 brewery’s…. and headed to see North Mississippi All Stars!!! Amazing Show!! if you don’t know them…. then check them out…. along with R.L. Burnside, and Junior Kimbrough. On Sunday we went back to a few book stores and a fabric store…. soaked in the sun eating lunch in 67 degree weather getting our vitamin D. We stayed at the aahostel.com check it out if you go to Asheville BJ has been there awhile and you should support him as apposed to the new fancy hostel!
