An old friend came to visit from high school. It was good to see him, and there really isn’t a lot of people I can say that about from high school. I wish him well!

I’m sick- and I have to keep it to myself or else work will send me home - and I can’t afford to go home! I can’t afford to be sick- I have WAY to many sewing projects to do! We went to Asheville this past weekend and saw Karl Denson and the tiny Universe, it was a killer show! He was so much fun, but now we are both sick…. I hate being sick!

syntheticpubes:
Girls as young as seven would like to change something about their appearance and half of 16 to 21-year-olds would consider surgery to achieve their perfect body, a study has revealed.
It’s irresponsible to paint this as a female issue. Most young men would change their bodies too. (I would elect for a wrinkle-free ballsack.) Everyone is affected by pop culture ideals.
Censoring unrealistic images isn’t the solution. What comes after that? Banning the most beautiful people? Burqas for hotties?
No, the solution is this: laughter. Laugh at those corny, shallow models. Laugh at their daddy issues and their crushing need to be taken seriously. Mock the next person who uses the phrase ‘fashion forward’ in front of you. Tell them to put down Vogue and go read a book.
When your eyes are assaulted by some marketing dickhead’s fratboy confused notion of sexy (as you leaf through a magazine or stroll down the sidewalk or otherwise exist in these modern times), think about how shitty those poor models have it. Repressive diets and 20 hours per week in the gym, yet some mouth-breathing Photoshop turd has to still further strip them of personality before they become valuable. Take away the free drugs and hollow, casual sex and it doesn’t sound much better than any other cubicle drone’s station in life.
(Of course, this strategy may require some revision once American Apparel’s iconoclastic, patina-of-grime-oooh-so-sexy-gross strategy eventually reaches its logical conclusion: billboards of Dov Charney’s spread asshole are installed to advertise women’s apparel and nobody blinks.)
Problem Solved about sewing tonight-
It just got canceled! It is on the fence on if that is a good thing or not-

Dear Time change,
I have mixed feelings for you right now. I love you because I have been on time for work the last week, for the first time ever, I usally come in 20 mins late b/c I can’t ever get moving in the mornings. Since the sun shines so early in my bedroom window i have been beating my alarm clock and have not had to hit snoze ten times over before I roll out of bed. Thus all this wakes me up and causes me to have a more productive day…. until now…. I’M SO TIRED! I could go crawl into bed and not wake up for a week!!! Bring me ten cups of coffee PLEASE, I have my sewing group tonight and I want to be productive! I know myself to well when I’m this tired I usally mess up every thing I touch… not a good time to be sewing! GRRR! Pumkin Late sounds way too good right now!!

It’s Thursday- That means sewing and pumpkin pie latte! Although it will be tough sitting inside sewing - while it is such an amazing fall day in the mountains! I have a candle burning soft music on, windows open, and doing paper work right now, I think I am missing some tea. We carved pumpkins last night and drank pumpkin beers, and ate kettle corn and freshly roasted pumpkins seeds- Can you tell I’m in the fall mode! I am day dreaming of going back school and finishing out my degree, but my degree in what?
